kLL sMTH | Telescopic Future

time June 18th by Clear Shadow authorTags: , , , , ,

kLL sMTH (of Majestic Entertainment) released “Telescopic Future” on Addictech.com this past Monday, June 16th. This 4-track album is future glitch-hop at its finest as these labyrinthine triggers and designs of forthcoming sounds will sooth you as a whole, both mentally and physically, it’ll bring forth a Telescopic Future. Kristoffer Edland, a Loveland, Colorado native, has been producing music for nearly six years now. I discovered kLL sMTH’s glitch soundscapes in 2012 as a friend introduced me to him and soon after I experienced a fresh live set at a small gathering in Austin, TX we held a couple months later called Alloveus. These frequencies from outer space are designed to take you far beyond a galactic future, a place of the unimaginable. These sounds create a crystalline structure, they tell the story of growth, an evolution of sound, an innovative mindset, illumination of change.

“Telescopic Future” consists of four well-crafted auditory glitch hop cosmos sure to clear and cleanse: “Oragami Peanut”, “Transcendent Delusion”, “Telescopic Future”, & “Katzenjammer”. “Oragami Peanut” is an art of sound which foreshadows the rest of the album. Like an Origami, it reveals jaw dropping technique and design, an ethereal escape full of glitch and whomps, which blend symmetrically and rhythmically within the illuminations of lively melodies. “Transcendent Delusion” is a mystical dream escape, a dream within a dream, a step into a reality check and back into an ancient-alien pyramid; full spectrum. This downtempo, glitch-ed out delight is very luscious with fresh vibes. “Telescopic Future” took me on a parallel dimension, its organic frequencies will enter your being and leave you feeling refreshed as in the aftermath of a spiritual psilocybin journey. Soothing flute-esque instrumentation will relax your brain waves. “Katzenjammer” is an otherworldly crystal quartz. A never ending sonic sunset of kaleidoscopic glitch twirls for your ear pineals. Elegant and driven composition in effect.

Keep your eyes pealed, and wide opened for kLL sMTH as he is turning heads in the electronica glitch-hop community. His soundscapes mesh very well with that of Tipper’s vibe, a limitless technicolor imagination of glitch wonders enabling telepathic sound communication. From having played countless festivals and shows in the Mid West, West, and South, and having past releases on Simplify Recordings, Muti Music, and Prime Dub, he is, without a doubt, gaining a rapid momentum. Kris is really an innovator thinker when it comes to producing music. Each melody creates its own story, it’s like he’s fitting the pieces together to a seemingly endless experience, it’s like he’s communicating with aliens.

Skytree | “Cirrus Sapiens” Concept Album

time June 5th by Clear Shadow authorTags: , , , , , , , , ,

Skytree (of Re:Evolution Booking) recently released “Cirrus Sapiens”, an invigorating ancient touch to the heart chakra whilst creating a balance of clear energy aligning within yourself.  A magical and enticing story within a story that will ultimately reveal the truth has been created.  It will open up hidden passages, reveal forgotten truths, and bring forth luminous cosmic energy through sky crystals and bass forests.  Evan Snyder is an extremely driven and creative individual whom I’ve had the pleasure of meeting back in 2012 during a show in Austin, TX… a very genuine soul with outstanding performances.  I’ve witnessed his sets twice in Austin, TX and he definitely creates an awesome experience.  Skytree is playing at numerous festivals across the nation this summer, but I especially can’t wait for his set at one of my favorite festivals, Sonic Bloom, happening on June 19th – 22nd 2014 in SouthPark, CO for their 9th annual gathering this year.  His creativity can be witnessed through the accomplished goal he set visible to the world on May 27, 2013.  After his debut release of “Crystal Consciousnesss” on 11.11.11 and “Treemixes V1″ on 12.12.12, his new collaborative album, “Cirrus Sapiens” (originally titled “Cloud People”), was set to be released independently later within the year, which was made possible through the help of his dedicated and loving fans whom contributed to his project via Indiegogo project.  In return, such individuals would receive an abundance of awards and co-creations once complete. It would be released digitally, on CD, and on custom USB drives (including limited edition wire-wrap crystal pendents).  Fast forward to NOW and a brilliant, uplifting soundscape has been fashioned.  “Cirrus Sapiens” was created in collaboration with several guest producers and instrumentalists over the past two years, and it incited within me a sacred awakening - it sparked within me the will to create.  It inspired me.  This fresh album is composed of three separate, 4-track sections, each with their own story and vibe, ending in ambience. “A trilogy of EPs in one album”.  Breathtaking artwork was created by Hayley Carloni and the mastering was done by Brendan Connors at Metronome Media Group’s Mastersuite Studio in NH.  I hope you guys  are ready for a spiritual and technological journey escape into a new universe full of  energies composed of organic psydub and ambient sound frequencies which will bring forth an atmospheric environment full of sky crystals, bass forests, and linguistic brilliance  - deep messages directed to create change.

“Cirrus Sapiens” is brought to light by the introduction track entitled “God Detector” featuring visionary artist and musician Michael Garfield.  Dennis McKenna’s voice is initially heard in D.M.T: The Spirit Molecule’s DMT:RMX project:  Meditators and people on Soulacybin, people in various transcendent states of mind, you see the same parts of the brain are engaged…and, what is the meaning?  What? Why is there a part of the brain that seems to be, for a lack of a better word, a “God Detector”, you know, What’s the evolutionary advantage to having some part of the brain that seems to trigger and mediate experiences of the transcendence?”  Through this hearing, there is a heavenly and melodic sound resonating along with these philosophical words, a clear introduction being revealed through rhythmic textures of harmonic waves of ambience and future bass.  A cloud of psychedelic lushness formation of “Sky Crystals” and “Bass Forests” is the theme of this track and the rest of the album to follow.  This track brings me one with nature through the sounds of blue monkeys and moose – it brings me one with the universe (especially through Michael Garfield’s strumming of the guitar and ukulele).  “Great Central Sun” smoothly channels next and it’s an amazonian gift composed of organic nature bird calls, flute instrumentation, and Skytree’s vocoder of the Hare Krishna mantra, a theological approach surrounding one’s original consciousness and goal of life to be pure love of “God (Krishna)”.  “Jah Tah” features Esseks & Jemineye, and it blends rhythmically with the previously heard flow of mantras and psydub composition.  A track composed of tribal sounds and bass beats by Esseks mixed with Navajo-esq maxims by Jemineye’s vocals that are meant to transcend you into a deep suited meditation.  “Star Forest” ft. Space Jesus adds to the perfect touch to the ending of the first section of this album with it’s ambient ancient dubstep atmosphere.  A very distinct drill of beats that are deep and soothing, and can especially be both heard and felt through the mesmerizing piano playing skills of Yoel B’nai Yehuda.

The second part of this album is illuminated through “Mana Machine” ft. Technicolor Lenses and Erothyme, and reveals a new theme.  Future bass beats mixed with cooperative experimental lyrical hip hop flow and texture programming by Erothyme meant to spread a message, a powerful one.  These next level flows blend very well with the dexterous guitar playing skills of Esseks.  Was a new genre just invented?  It’s like I have entered a celestial skyhop dimension filled with sacred energy, that can only be entered through progression within oneself: “Letting go of thought and tune into the waves of the heart space, everything in its right place.”  “Cloud People” features the vocals and dazzling electric bass of Skytree’s brother, Alan Snyder.  This collaborative effort has created a feels of ambience air, a whirlwind of deep-felt energy radiating from the ground, through textures of the trees in forests, veins of the leaves, and soon after an uplift into the clouds of the sky and beyond.  Cello instrumentation by Katherine S An adds to the tranquilizing feels of these tuning frequencies.  “Unstoppable Soldiers” ft. Waters has very potent lyrics, it speaks truths about being open about feeling exasperated.  These deep lyrical feels create an intention to go beyond the impossible, an unstoppable identity.  Skytree’s signature bass also feels deep truths and opens up passages to the unknown.  Ending the “second section” of Cirrus Sapiens, is “Distant Song of Earth” featuring AJ Block unifies and wraps it all up.  You can initially feel deep ambient and psybass frequencies suited fo deep meditation…it’ll levitate you as it takes you to yet another unimaginable dimension, it’s like I’ve entered a known galactic space satellite venture from a past life.

The third part of Cirrus Sapiens begins a new journey through “Record Keeper” featuring Tectum, a psychedelic producer. The collaboration of Skytree’s ambient yet future bass beats and skydubs mixed with Tectum’s production skills brings a creative product of formation. Some skytrance and treedubs for your mind, body, and soul. Additional drum machines by HEISS and Skytree’s strings add a glowing touch tied with singing bowls, hermit thrush and doves. “Skycell ft. LuneCell produced in collaboration consists of ambient psydub textures and squelches. Bell sounding illumination creates a bubbles of ever-changing tempos and frequencies which in turn give light to new psychedelic escapes. “Hexeract” ft. Supersillyus & D.V.S* is an ancient doozy consisting of breaks and cooperative programming of blips and bass by Supersillyus.  D.V.S* adds ambient energy through his masterful guitar skills which build unique sound waves that mesh well with other elements such as trippy vocals. “Magellanic Stream” ft. Laura Karuna is the last song of the third chapter, and the ending of this concept album. It reaches an exosphere knowing, a paradisaical outlook which is made visible by angelic sounding drones accompanied by quotes taken from DMT:RMX – The Spirit Molecule Remix Project.

“Cirrus Sapiens” will take you on a spiritual escape into a sacred geometrical atmospheric landscape full of Sky Crystals and Bass Forests. It will channel numerous escapes into endless dimensions through psydub, skyhop, and treedub frequencies. Each chapter tells a story of its own and creates a connection within your higher self, it almost leaves one hypnotized.  An awareness of the importance of clearing of the mind, body, and spirit is the theme of the entire album, a message to be spread. Take 55:55 minutes of your presence to feel a connection to our cosmic truth that exists within ourselves and our universe. A known past that lies within you will be brought to light.  We are all connected, we are all one.  Skytree is definitely breaking through his music journey as he continues to explore sounds within sounds from within, from his own Shamanic being.  Thank you Skytree and everyone involved in this project.

SONIC BLOOM 2014 Preview | South Park, CO | June 19th – 22nd

time May 31st by Clear Shadow authorTags: , , , , ,

Sonic Bloom 2014, the Unified Field, will be taking place at a new location, The American Safari Ranch in South Park, Colorado for its 9th annual gathering, an electrifying experience waiting to happen.  Sonic Bloom was my first music camping festival, an initial inspiration into my musical journey – a trigger of transformational light.  This is honestly, hands down, THE festival to experience during the Summer.  Not only does it consistantly showcase forth moving and ground breaking talent, but it is an eye-opening experience both inside and out.  It is a transformational gathering destined to nourish the mind, body, and soul.  Aside it’s stellar musical lineup this year, they will also be hosting, as always, a wide-variety of unique features such as live painting, performance art, yoga, movement, speakers & workshops!  Tickets are moving, time is passing, the moment is approaching…let’s all bloom creatively this summer!

Four predominant and forth moving headliners were announced in this vibrant lineup, a futuristic blessing: Tipper, Shpongle, Eoto, & Opiuo!  Tipper will be performing TWO sets, his only appearance in Colorado in 2014, so don’t miss out on this special synchronicity of uplifting sound waves- he is known for his mastery of electronic music ranging from mid-tempo, glitch hop to downtempo melodic composition and recently released a new album “Forward Escape“…so come out and listen to his latest sounds in a sweet sound setting provided by the largest Funktion-One sound system to ever be showcased in Colorado.  Along his set, will be the LEGENDARY visual artists Android Jones & Johnathan Singer…is this real life?  Shpongle (Simon Posford Dj Set), of Twisted Records, was the final headliner announced, the perfect addition.  I’ve caught his dj sets a couple times, and he never fails to satisfy with his downtempo yet psychedelic sound waves that will open new gateways within you.  I am so stoked on Eoto, and so should you.  Eoto, the dubstep duo that is 100% improvisational – a mix of organic sounds of live drums, bass, and guitar through a variety of programs come together to create a unique experience, and consists of members of The String Cheese Incident- Michael Travis and Jason Hann.  Opiuo, a blooming funk and bass producer who has given me the ultimate brain massage every time is currently on tour, “World Tour”, and his mid stop is in CO - I caught him recently here in Austin, TX and experienced yet another fresh set.

Over 100 more artists will be performing at this years BLOOM.  The entire lineup is too fresh, it consists of a plethora amount of rare talent surrounding the Zilla, Re:Evolution, familymoons, Merkaba Music, and sub.mission families.  Such artists are continually rising from today’s national/international conscious electronic music scene:  The Polish Ambassador, the premiere of Michal Menert Big Band, Zilla, OTT, Random Rab, Quantic (live band), Zion I, Break Science, Benji Vaughan (Younger Brother Dj Set), Quixotic, Vibesquad, Kalya Scintilla ft. Eve Olution, Desert Dwellers, Zoogma, Dopapod, Kaminanda, Mr. Bill, Supervision, Bird of Prey, Paul Basic, Fort Knox Five, Janover & Resunator, The Human Experience, Dirtwire, & Merkaba.  I honestly can’t wait for The Sonic Bloom Orchestra which will feature a collaborative performance with names such as Eoto, Break Science, Zilla,  ill-esha, Kaminanda, etc.  The rest of the bill still showcases VERY talented up and coming national and international artists, so be sure to look out for:  Skytree, Whitebear, Polar Vortex (a new audio-visual collab project from ill-esha & S∆UCEmonster), Mumukshu, kLL sMTH, Futexture, Deloscinari, Soulacybin, Dubvirus, Shwex, Quanta, Akasha, Psymbionic, D.V.S*, Sunsquabi, Marvel Years, Dynohunter, Michael Garfield, Sixis, and Living Light.  I’m getting all giddy over here just by looking over the lineup and writing about it… it’s like a dreaming state about to hit reality.  I’ve had the pleasure of catching a great majority of these artists live within the past few years and I can assure it’s worth your time, both mentally and spiritually.  I walked into this scene unexpectedly and am so happy I discovered this community.  If you happen to be unfamiliar with this lineup or are only familiar with some of the artists, I highly suggest taking little time to discover something rare that will inspire you and potentially ignite the fire in your life purpose.

Featuring a breathtaking 360 degree mountain panorama and views of the continental divide, the new site in South Park adds to the magical touch of Sonic Bloom. The size of the site will allow for a car camping option, allowing just a short walk from the stage to cars/campsites. There will be an indoor saloon with late-night music and VIP packages will include optional on-site lodging packages.  Among the many spaces and zones will be The Oasis Bath-house complete with private hot showers, a woof-fired sauna and Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soap “healing hub” where you’re able to kick-back, relax, enjoy the sauna, and get sprayed by delightful smelling soapy foam meant to rinse and cool you down.  The Glassblowing Dome by the Colorado Project, the interactive recycled glassblowing demos by the Nectar Collector, Boomtown by Jimmy Bleyer & Temple of Visions, and the Hammock Zone by the Elevated Movement will definitely be lively and interactive.  Beyond that, there are numerous amounts of other workshops, yoga classes, speakers, and live painters who will keep you learned and entertained.

A time to consciously unify on a beautiful weekend is approaching, so I hope you are ready for the ultimate life experience full of endless possibilities.  Unifying a cast of some of the world’s most electrifying musicians, performers, visionaries, and artists, SONIC BLOOM, is an inspiring showcase of Colorado’s forth moving Conscious Music Scene.  It has been credited for helping to break the careers of artists such as Bassnectar, The Glitch Mob, Beats Antique and Pretty Lights,  so come out and engage in discovery of some of the most progressive electronic innovators and live electronic acts with styles that are out of this universe.  Words can’t express how excited I am to return to a place that initially inspired me and will continue to inspire me.  Thank you Jamie Janover and the whole Zilla and Sonic Bloom family for making this possible.

Sonic Bloom 2014 | June 19th-22nd | South Park, Colorado

time March 27th by John-Michael authorTags: , ,

Sonic Bloom 2014 has moved to a new location, The American Safari Resort, and tickets are selling faster than they have ever sold over the 9 previous years.

I’ve been attending Sonic Bloom for over three years straight now. It has a special place in my heart due to the intimate nature of the festival and the fact that it is one of the main events in Colorado. Year after year the artist they book, the vibe created, and the community of people from all over come together to make it one of the premier summer festivals. I’ve done my fair share of traveling all over the US and believe that Sonic Bloom is the go to festival this year.

It has been awhile since I have writing about something and had decided not to write blog post anymore but Sonic Bloom I hold dear to my heart. This year I’ve decided to cut my festival travels down significantly but told myself that this is the one for me. Why? Tipper! The fact that there are TWO Tipper sets means there will be a chill downtempo set which is worth the cost of the travel and ticket easy. There are so many other talented artist worth mentioning as well but I can’t express how excited I am to see Tipper this year considering the new album just around the corner.

This year The Road to Sonic Bloom has officially kicked off. Here are the remaining dates and the talented artist that will be performing all over the States to help build the hype for the main event! I’ll be playing at the Miami, FL date so be sure to come out to The Nest =)

April 4th – 1904 Music Hall, Jacksonville, FL

April 5th – The Nest, Miami, FL

April 10th – The Parish, Austin, TX

April 12th – Sons of Hermann Hall

April 25th – Omaha, NE – Abbott Sports Complex
Kaminanda, Nadis Warriors, MuzzY, Marvel Years, Krooked Drivers

May 2nd – 3rd – The Unified Field: official SONIC BLOOM pre-party at Cervantes, Denver, CO
Opiuo, Random Rab, ill-esha, Zoogma, Janover & reSunator, Whitebear, Defunk & more TBA

Be sure to grab tickets ASAP since pre-sales and tier one tickets have already sold out! The one thing that really stood out to me about this year is that due to the new location you won’t have to worry about taking shuttles to and from the parking area since there will be car camping available. The location also features an indoor saloon with a bar and DJ booth for some of your favorite artist to entertain. I’d also recommend looking into VIP passes as this year they include tons of goodies!

Keep checking back for the final announcements of artist and possible gives aways! This poster is for the 1st and 2nd wave of artist announcements. Believe it or not they still have additional artist to add =D

Sonic Bloom 2013 | Georgetown, CO | June 13 – 16

time June 4th by John-Michael authorTags: , ,

Sonic Bloom is one of the greatest events that happens every year. I’ve attended a handful of times now and can say that statement with complete confidence.

This year I’ve scaled back on all the events that I could attend due to a new focus on my career. Last year I attended over 10 festivals and only making it to around 5 this year. Out of all the festivals that I attended last year, there are two wrist bands still on: Sonic Blooms and Symbiosis.

What sets Sonic Bloom apart from all the festivals is its location. Colorado is one of most beautiful states I’ve ever visited. It has everything a person like myself could want: mountains, water (rivers), epic trails, talented producers, legalization, active community, and affordable!

If it weren’t for my the recent job I recently acquired, I would have moved to Colorado. Sonic Bloom encompasses all the allure of Colorado in one giant event. It’s the time of year where the music community comes together in the central state of the US.

This years line up is one of the most impressive ones the year. The one thing that I have to address is the fact that the local talent that is located in Colorado is world class. If there was a mecca for bass music or any variation of it right now, it would be Colorado. If it wasn’t already so enticing to visit, they recently legalized herb.

Georgetown is outside of the Denver/Boulder area but the drive into the small town always leaves me breathless. The actual location of the venue is absolutely stunning if you’ve never been. The venue is divided into two areas separated by a river running in-between. There are two bridges that connect them and always leave you in awe as you see the water flowing. It is worth noting that this year they will be offering white water rafting! There will also be tons of yoga workshops as well as numerous talks and vendors.

If you were still debating on attending this year, I personally highly recommend it. There aren’t many gathers of this nature that happen every year. It’s one of the most well organized events I’ve ever attended. Just be sure to bring a smile and be ready to dance till sunrise!

Grab Tickets for Sonic Bloom 2013!

I hope that I’ll see many of you out there. Be sure to say hello if you see me!

Bird of Prey | Artist Spotlight

time October 26th by John-Michael authorTags: , , , , ,

Bird of Prey is the featured producer for this week’s Fire Friday Mix. Whenever someone asks me or mentions the most technical and skillful producer’s Bird of Prey comes to mind. I’ve been lucky enough to spend some time around Torin and get his take on a few things. He’s one of those people who take his craft very seriously. He comes from a psytrance background which usually consists of incredible sound design and a level of quality that you rarely find.

This mix is a live recording from Boom Festival. I’ve listened to this mix about 3 times today already. The mix consists of beautiful psychedelic music the whole way through. It also features plenty of Bird of Paradise music which Torin let me know is coming out soon. The complexity of the sound and textures is unmatched. There are not many producers that can capture my attention with the psy chill sound mixed with the dance floor flow that Bird of Prey puts together.

I spent a decent amount of time with Torin this past summer at Sonic Bloom and was enlightened that he has helped influence some of the biggest names in bass music that I’m sure you’ve heard of. It so happens that Seven Lions was his roommate for awhile and helped him develop his production skill set. Another big name he helped out was Nit Grit which has had great success. I won’t lie it’s a bit disappointing to see such a talented producer get so unnoticed compared to some of his apprentices. It’s crazy how the world works sometimes. He also informed me that his tracks under the Birds of Paradise project have gone as upwards of 140+ tracks in a single tune. That’s just straight dedication.

Sit back and enjoy this hypnotic journey Bird of Prey has created with this glorious mix. Also be sure to make it a point to see him play out live. There aren’t many artists out there that can provide such a beautiful soundscapes for early morning sets or late night vibes. He should definitely be recognized a lot more and worth a listen. I consider him to be up there with Tipper when it comes to sound design and production value.

Freddy Todd & S.P.E.C.T.R.E. | Honey, I Crunk’d Tha Kidz

time September 25th by John-Michael authorTags: , , , , , ,

Freddy Todd & S.P.E.C.T.R.E collaborate on two massive tracks for all of you to enjoy. It’s been some time since we’ve heard some new material from Reuben but damn he hasn’t lost his touch by any means. I saw his set at Sonic Bloom and damn I’m glad I came over despite Tipper being on the main stage. Freddy just put out another full release out recently that has everyone excited. These two power houses might have just messed around a few days and put this together but the result is an incredible two track EP. I’d love to see more of these appear. Everyone is traveling around hanging out while playing shows and sometimes results in a few colab tracks. I think I speak for everyone when I say that more people should be throwing these small EPs together and just throw them on Bandcamp or Soundcloud for the fans to enjoy.

Honey, I Crunk’d Tha Kidz and Space Cowboy are two extremely hype tracks filled with crunk’d up vocals. The energy that these two create is spectacular and perfect for any headlining slot. I’ve been droppin Space Cowboy and damn it goes off. I love the subtle intro it has and eventually builds into this bangin tune. Not to mention got to love the ’cause i’m a space cowboy’ sample!

Here is a preview for you all. It will be officially released on the 27th of September on Bandcamp. Expect much more from S.P.E.C.T.R.E and especially Freddy Todd.

Nico Luminous | Love Star Mix

time August 24th by John-Michael authorTags: , , , , , , , ,

NicoLuminous has been slowly gaining more visibility and with good reason, his music is incredible. I first heard of him though ill-esha and after I heard his release on Street Ritual I was hooked. I’ll openly admit that I probably play way too much of Nico when I DJ out but too be honest his vibe and style is exactly a perfect mix of sexy bass music and dancefloor hype.

The first time I met Nico was at LIB and had the pleasure of catching a set from him at the Dr.Bronner’s Foam Tub area. He truly is one of the most positive people out there. He just has that good energy vibe and willing to help out with anything. I ran into him again at Sonic Bloom and finally got to catch one of his legendary beat-boxing performances. He has a utility belt with assorted guitar pedals that he uses as he is beat-boxing. It’s truly one of the craziest things I’ve seen. There is no doubt that his is going to be on top of the world soon.

NicoLuminous is prepping for his new release, Love Star, and man is it good! I’ve had the luxury of getting to preview it. This mix gives you a small taste of what is to come as well as great set to throw on while in any mood. I will say Nico has added a bit more hype to this one but its got that sensual vibe he has become known for. I’m stoked to be seeing him at the upcoming ArtOutside festival in Austin. Be on the look out for the official release of Love Star!

Sonic Bloom 2011 Music Festival June 24th-26th

time May 24th by John-Michael authorTags: , , , ,

Sonic Bloom 2011 takes places on June 24th through the 26th in Georgetown, Colorado! This is the 6th time this event will be held and boy does it have great history behind it. This year will be no different with another legendary line up. The true nature of this event is focused on the art of music. Shadow Ranch the gorgeous location where this will be taking place is one hour outside of Denver.

This year I’m thrilled to be attending as a trip to Colorado has been way over due. A big majority of the readers of this site come from Colorado and can’t wait to visit all the homies out there. It’ll be great to finally feel the magic of the state in a breathe taking venue and incredible festival. I’m looking forward to also seeing some of the locals play some music on their home turf where a huge part of the bass family lives. As of now most of the line up has been posted and wow it’s going to be sexy. I’ve gone ahead and bolded out the ones I’m looking forward to see. This doesn’t mean that some of these guys don’t deserve credit but I feel the ones bolded are the ones that are unique to the festival and are not as common to experience during this years festival line ups. Lets get real most of these artist are worth being bolded but these are my personal favorites.

Besides an incredible  musical line up the event will showcase many other arts besides music. There will be tons of workshops, yoga classes, exotic food, vendors, and more! Fire dancers, jugglers, live painters, and more will be in full force to set the mood for the experience. Come and experience one of the most well known festivals in the States as we embark on a lovely journey to the Rookies for a few glorious nights of life.

If the sold out Manifestation Celebration in Dallas was just the pre-party where I had to chance to play a set. I can’t imagine how much energy will be present at this event. If that was just a small glimpse of the main event this will be another life changing event that will go down in history. There are still two other pre-parties that will be going on in San Francisco on Friday, May 20th at 103 Folsom and another in New York City on June 11th. Be sure to say hello if you seem me out there. I’ll be hanging and camping with close friend Ethan aka SubSynthesis.
