Voodoo Farm is the music project of NYC-based producer/DJ/filmmaker Liam Dirlam. The sound is described as “Electronic Dancerock” and infuses styles of Electro House, Dubstep, and Hip-Hop using live instruments, vocalists, and machines. Voodoo Farm’s first single, “Bangers & Cash” was placed on rotation on at MTV, VH1 and SpikeTV… also considered for mtvU’s “Best Freshman Video Award” in September 2010. They have a bunch of dope remixes that they’ve done recently that are up for free download at soundcloud.com/liamdirlam. Without fail, every time I drop one of their tracks live, there is always someone who will run behind the DJ booth to see what I’m playing, haha.  Unfortunately, I can’t take credit for their awesomeness. Dirlam and Robert E. Corrigan JR (Muscle Car Chronicles) are now working on a REMIX/B-SIDE album that will drop this summer for free.   Their second full-length album will be finished in September. We all have heard and made our own feelings about Drink the Sea, The Glitch Mobs first debut full length album. Now after rinsing it out on vinyl the Mixtape is finally out! Мишка is who officially has released this Drink the Sea part 2! This mixtape is ultimately a hip-hop/pop mash up of the Drink the Sea album. Well known hip-hop/rap/pop artist featured in the mix include Nas, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, MIA, Dr. Dre, Daft Punk, Birdman, Drake, and La Roux.

This is the sound we’ve all come to love and recognize The Glitch Mob as one of the defining Glitch Hop artist out there. I don’t think anyone can complain about this one. Boreta, edIT, and Ooah are clearly on top of the game and no one can deny it. This possibly could become bigger than Drink the Sea.

I’m now beyond excited to be catching them LIVE August 30th here in Fort Lauderdale! I’m hoping they incorporate some of these mash ups into their live show. I personally love the energy that has been recreated with these tunes. Who knows maybe a special live performance with some of the featured mash up artist doing some of these tracks live would be INSANE.

Something tells me there might be some trouble getting this release so I’ve decided to host a copy on my server =)
