Recently I’ve forgotten to put a featured Friday mix.
Luckily I remembered today and went out for a mix that contained orgininality. Been really digging mixes that have slow build ups and then out of no where it hits with some dubstep and glitch hop.

Afro Monk’s Late Night Trip Hop Hijack

This mix I did when I was feeling all emo and stuff. I’ve never really mixed trip-hop and haven’t mastered the art of beat matching so this can get a bit dodgy at times. This was more for the feel and listening to the songs. Poured out some of my favorite tunes in here. Later on in the mix I switched it up to play a little FL Breaks and into a pre-recorded Miami Bass mix that had there.

Afro Monk & Munkz – Glitch.fm – Liturgy of the Hours

This is the recording of my set on last weeks show. Can’t believe I have a weekly show. I decided to team up with my close friend Munkz for this. Figured I’d bring the glitch and he brings the whomp. We ended up doing a ghetto rig there and turned out his portion of the show sounded like complete crap so just uploading my first hour.

This week’s Fire Friday Mix is from Ben Samples. Samples has become one of my favorite producers. I’m not even sure if this man is human based on how many tracks he pumps out. If I had to pick any artist which makes would define all the elements of Glitch Hop I’d probably pick any Samples tracks.

One day I hope that I’ll be able to meet him in person and possibily play along side him. That would be one of my dreams right now. Now check out this fresh new mix!

I’ve been hella busy this past week, especially at work.
Today I was swamped at work and totally passed out when I got home.
Tonight decided to stay in and just hang out with cousin.
Luckily I did cause just landed a link to Sugarpill’s latest mix.

Big up to JmeJ for this mix. He’s definitely someone to watch with all these banging beats being dropped by him. He is doing some fresh things in the Glitch Hop genre.
